Dr Nyla Raja- Medispa Cheshire
Over the last two years I have really stepped up my skincare routine, at the age of 28 I have become conscious that my skin isn't going to look after itself. Daily cleanses, weekly masks and SPF (which is the holy grail) are great but sometimes we need a little help along the way. I wanted to try something completely different and I was introduced to Dr Nyla Raja- Medispa sometime last year through a friend.
Nyla has opened my eyes to all the various non invasive treatments on offer, with research and recommendations I opted to try Intracel. This uses micro-needling and radiofrequency to tighten the skin and improve the overall appearance. The recommended course is 3 treatments but you can dramatically see results from just one.
Nyla has just opened a beautiful new clinic in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. I could of happily sat in reception amongst the plush décor and array of fashion magazines all day. Such a relaxing atmosphere, somewhere you can truly feel pampered. I was shortly seen to my treatment room and proceeded with all the protocol of health questionnaires, this hasn't been the first time I have had Intracel so I was well aware of what is involved but this was again explained.
If you have got past the thought of micro-needles to the face you will be pleased to know that numbing cream is used across the whole face for this reatment, once the cream has done its job its time to get started.
From understanding where your target areas are the therapist will start the treatment, the initial feeling of the micro-needles penetrating the skin is admittingly slightly strange but you do get used to this very quickly and the treatment only takes around 30 minutes, the therapists check you are doing ok throughout keeping you as relaxed as possible. Once finished you get a cooling face mask and a five minute chill out in the room, your aftercare is explained and with a finisher of SPF cream you are ready to go. There is minimal to no downtime with Intracel so you wont need to hide away for days!
I couldn't resist a coffee and further five minute chill back in reception once I had finished, I really didn't want to leave. I also bumped into Nyla in this moment, she was getting ready for the new clinic launch, a very star studded event! It's always so lovely to see her, Nyla is the life and soul of the clinic and if you have been lucky enough to meet her I'm sure you will agree.
I wanted to share some snaps of my day, pre-treatment skin, during (Warning-some graphic content) and day 1 since. The results from intracel are at their best a couple of weeks following so I will share these soon...
